World Environment Day 2023

World Environment Day was celebrated to raise awareness about environmental issues and promote global action for the protection of our planet. It serves as a reminder of our individual and collective responsibility to preserve and conserve the environment for future generations. To create such an impact, in view of commemorating World Environment Day , Department of Environment and Climate Change , Govt. of Tamil Nadu and Tamil Nadu State Wetland Authority undertook Lake Restoration & Rejuvenation of Water Bodies . Under this project Equitas Development Initiatives Trust (EDIT) collaborated with ExNoRa International , Pratiks Enviro Solutions , Ooruni Foundation, Nammal Mudiyum. EDIT Staff and student volunteers from campuses like SDNB Vaishnav College , Jerusalem College of Engineering , Guru Nanak College , Vinayaka Missions University took active participation in lake cleaning works. The lake cleaning work was flagged off by Mr Shanmugam , DFO and Mrs. Dhatchayini , Director , Pratiks Environment Solutions.

Chief Guest was Rtn. Ravi Raman . AARDE Foundation exhibited and sold handicrafts made from Palm Leaves Rtn John Alex , CSR Head , ESFB, was the Guest of Honour

It all began when a group of passionate individuals came together with a shared vision: to restore the health and beauty of a nearby lake that had been suffering from pollution and neglect.
